illume roundillume squareillume™ Advanced Skylight Systems are designed to add the ambience of sky-lighting to any area of your home. illume systems work in place of conventional skylights and also in locations where a traditional skylight could not be fitted.

illume is designed to convert the suns energy to light and auto-adjust brightness levels to match external conditions. This creates a harmony in your home between indoor and outdoor lighting. There are multiple illume systems to compliment your home and each model is better suited to different locations - These can include hallways, entrances, walk-in robes, bathrooms, laundries, pantries and restrooms. Illume skylights can also suit larger rooms and practically anywhere that requires more light. Eg. Living rooms or the garage.

illume installs easily to both metal deck and tiled roofs without need of a light shaft. Each day the system gradually illuminates as the day begins: In full sunlight the system shines brightly and the system dims accordingly in overcast conditions or cloud cover, providing the familiar lighting behaviour of traditional skylight installations.

Once the illume solar collector is mounted on your roof, the sun's energy is harnessed and converted using the patent pending ambient light technology system. This system outputs through the illume control module which in turn powers the illume skylight panel. The patented ambient light technology system automatically adjusts the skylight panel output to match external conditions. This means that as the sky clouds over or the sun sets, so does the light output of illume.

Think of the darker areas in your home that with illume, you would no longer need to turn on a light during the day.

The illume™ System is available in four sizes and two profiles:
180mm Round
270mm Round
300mm Square
400mm Square

Q. Can I cut or extend the cable?
A. The cable length is matched to the panel system. Cutting or adding to this can cause damage to the illume
system.

Q. Can the illume solar collector be attached anywhere on the roof?
A. For best results, the solar collector should face North or where maximum sunlight can be collected.

Q. Can I switch off the illume system?
A. There's no need to, as the illume system automatically illuminates and darkens at dawn and dusk and
emits no light after dark, just as a traditional skylight would. For those who would like a bit more control, a
switchable control system is available upon request.

Q. Does illume contain a battery backup system?
A. illume™ ambient light technology is designed to emulate the availability of external light. illume offers the
same availability of daytime light as that of a traditional skylight. Due to this there isn't a battery system in
place however future models may have this feature.

Q. Do I need an electrician to install illume ?
A. No. illume is designed for D.I.Y. installation and as such does not require tradesmen.

Q. How do I attach the solar collector to the roof?
A. The collector comes with four straps which can be attached to the roof rafters under tiles, or to the bolts
on a metal deck roof.

Q. In commercial use, if I require multiple illume skylightpanels, can they be designed to
function off a single solar collector?
A. A commercial grade illume system can be manufactured to suit the requirement.

Q. Can the illume skylight be recessed into the ceiling?
A. Yes. Provided you have enough clearance, the illume skylight can be installed to mimic the design aesthetic
of a traditional recessed skylight.
